LAHORE: Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) Admiral Zafar Mahmood Abbasi met the commander of Turkish Fleet Admiral Ercument TATLIOGLU and Commander of Turkish Northern Sea Area Rear Admiral (UH) Iskender YILDIRIM in Turkey on Tuesday.
They discussed matters of mutual interest and security issues in the Indian Ocean.
CNS was also briefed about the Turkish Fleet Command after which he appreciated the efforts of the Turkish Navy for peace and stability in the region.
CNS also visited Golcuk Naval Shipyard and the Golcuk Naval Base at the Turkish Fleet Headquarters where he was received by Turkish Fleet commander.
He was also presented with ceremonial a Guard with Military Honours.
During his visit to the Turkish Navy Ship, he appreciated the work of the ship’s crew and said that continued cooperation between the two countries would strengthen them.
