ISLAMABAD: Before the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, the government has decided to present new financial year budget 2017-2018.
The new bill will be presented on May 26 and will be approved on the same day. The bill will be presented to the Parliament and approved from Cabinet. In the first week of May, the committee meeting on National Economic Council will also take place.
On the other hand, the Cabinet Committee on Privatisation meeting, which was chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, was held in Islamabad. During the meeting, the transaction structure for First Women Bank, HBFC and SME Bank was approved.
It was also decided in the meeting that the Gujranwala Electric Power Company (GEPCO) shares will be sold out through Pakistan Stock Market while Shalimar Recording and Broadcasting Company was removed from the list of institutions to be privatised.
