KARACHI: A night-hours power outage ruined sleep of a large number of Karachiites and sent many areas plunged into darkness.
Citizens living in different areas of the city braved a lot of difficulties due to the outage. The students preparing for the intermediate exams also suffered a lot.
However, a K-Electric statement said some areas of North Karachi, Valika, Haroonabad, SITE, and Orangi experienced partial interruption of power supply after a fire broke out at one transformer of K-Electric’s Baldia grid station late in the evening.
K-Electric teams responded immediately and worked with the fire department to control the situation and initiate restoration work. Power supply to the affected areas was timely restored.
K-Electric remains committed to serve its customers and regrets the inconvenience caused due to unforeseen circumstances, says the release.
