ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has emphasised forging a close cooperation with Japan in the fields of trade, investment, infrastructure, energy and capacity building of institutions.
He was talking to Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Japan Dr Asad Majeed Khan, who called on him in Islamabad on Friday.
The President asked the Ambassador-designate to engage Japan at every level and advocate Pakistan’s position on Nuclear Suppliers Group.
He said as its reliable economic partner Pakistan looks forward to a greater level of cooperation with Japan at every level.
The President said pro-active measures are needed to boost existing level of bilateral trade between the two countries.
