SHIEKHUPURA: Eight suspected terrorists were killed in Sheikhupura in an encounter on Thursday.
As per details given by the Counter-terrorism department (CTD) officials, a raid was conducted in Narang Mandi areas and in exchange of firing eight terrorists were killed, while three to four of their accomplices managed to flee. However, two officials of the CTD received injuries who were being provided medical treatment.
It was said that explosive materials and suicide jackets were recovered from the possession of the slain terrorists, who were affiliated with a banned militant outfit.
